Now Powered by Craft CMS

At the beginning of the summer I attended a presentation on CraftCMS and then started learning more, which I wrote about here. I've since built a couple of other sites in Craft and really explored it. As of today Caffeine Creations is now powered by Craft CMS.

At the beginning of the summer I attended a presentation on CraftCMS and then started learning more, which I wrote about here. I've since built a couple of other sites in Craft and really explored it. As of today Caffeine Creations is now powered by Craft CMS.

I moved this site to Craft in part to get more experience working with Craft and in part because I'm planning on doing more of my client sites in Craft.

Craft has many features out of the box that ExpressionEngine requires commercial addons for. These include Live Preview and the powerful matrix field.

This doesn't mean I'm not going to work with ExpressionEngine. The platform is still a very powerful and flexible CMS and I have many clients using it that I will continue to maintain their sites. However I do believe in choosing the best CMS for the job. To that end of a site is best built in Craft I'll build it in Craft, if it is best built in ExpressionEngine I'll use ExpressionEngine.

I haven't yet been able to copy over comments on this blog from the previous site. Disqus is giving me some trouble with the import file, but I'm working on it and once completed previous comments will be back.
